Michael Saylor of Charlottesville Virginia Arrested on Molestation Charges – Repeat Offender

Michael Saylor-Albemarle County-Virginia-Charlottesville An Albemarle County man who admitted to sexually molesting a 12-year-old girl will go to trial on new charges accusing him of the same crime.

Monday, a judge set 60-year-old Michael Saylor’s trial to start November 18.

A grand jury indicted Saylor in April on 14 new charges of aggravated sexual battery of a child under the age of 13.

Saylor is already serving prison time after entering into a plea agreement back in October of 2013. He pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual battery of a child under the age of 13, and was sentenced to 20 years behind bars with all but three years and four months suspended.

Albemarle County police arrested Saylor in August of 2013 – though documents show the crime took place in January. The prosecution said Saylor assaulted a child over a two-year period.

The Albemarle County prosecutor says these latest charges involve the same victim from that 2013 case.

Court records show the alleged abuse happened from June 2008 through July 2009. Additionally, records indicate Saylor was charged with the same crime – but involving a different victim – in 2010. A trial in 2012 ended in a mistrial and prosecutors did not move forward with a second trial.
