A 47-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of level 1 felony child molesting, as well as other charges.
William Bradley appeared in Warrick County Superior Court Monday and pleaded not guilty.
Bradley was accused to molesting a 6-year-old girl in late March. The incident allegedly took place at a home in Chandler. A witness told deputies he went to the bathroom for about 30 minutes. When he came back he saw the girl’s head in Bradley lap underneath a blanket, according to court documents.
During an interview with Holly’s House, the girl showed deputies the areas that Bradley allegedly touched her underneath her clothing. She said it happened only the one time and that Bradley told her not to tell anyone, according to the probable cause affidavit.
The witness told deputies he didn’t think Bradley saw him when he walked in, but he said the next morning, Bradley held his finger to his mouth and said “shh” to the girl, court documents state.
Bradley is in Warrick County jail until he pays his bail of $100,000 surety or $10,000 cash. The court has ordered a no-contact order between him and the girl; Bradley is also not allowed to leave the state.
Deputies were told Bradley lived in Evansville, but according to court documents, his address was in Middleton, Ohio.
Each level felony 1 charge, if found guilty, has a minimum sentence of 20 years.
Bradley’s next court appearance will be May 22.
