Authorities say after they brought up an unpleasant episode in his past, a Muncie man admitted he recently exposed himself to a girl and asked her to perform a sex act.
Kevin Lee Walker, 41 — also listed in court documents at an Anderson address — was arrested Friday on a preliminary charge of child solicitation. He was being held in the Delaware County jail on Monday under a $5,000 bond.
The alleged victim in the case has not yet reached her teens.
According to an affidavit, when interviewed Friday, Walker at first told city police investigators the girl’s claims were false, and that he had never faced similar allegations.
Sgt. Linda Cook then asked Walker about his 1993 arrest for child molesting in Madison County.
The Muncie man said “at the time he was 18, and the girl was 14 or 15, and that he enlisted in the Navy to avoid prosecution,” Cook wrote.
In a later discussion with investigator Ryan Winningham, Walker admitted exposing himself to his accuser.
Walker is also the target of an arrest warrant in Grant County, on a driving-while-suspended case filed in Gas City Court.
