A 38-year-old Leechburg man was accused on Wednesday of sexually molesting two teenage Alle-Kiski Valley girls and viewing child pornography.
District Judge James Andring formally charged Jeramaie Dustin Platt, of the 400 block of Grant Avenue.
Andring sent Platt to the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing.
Platt was charged by Leechburg police and agents for the state attorney general’s child predator section.
In an arrest report, Leechburg police Chief Mike Diebold said he received information last month from Armstrong County Children and Youth Services about sexual abuse allegedly involving Platt.
One girl told them about at least three instances of Platt abusing her when she was 11 or 12. Platt allegedly told the girl it was “their little secret.” She said Platt had porn on his computer.
Another girl told police Platt saw her nude and gave her a vibrator.
Leechburg police charged Platt with statutory sexual assault, two counts of indecent assault and corruption of minors.
The agents allege Platt had 10 files on his computer showing children as young as 3 nude with nude men. Some show graphic sexual assault.
Police and agents searched Platt’s house Tuesday morning and say Platt signed a release and voluntarily talked to them.
According to authorities, Platt said he wanted to get treatment but didn’t know how. They say he admitted viewing child porn on a desktop computer in his living room.
He is facing 10 charges for having child pornography, five counts of distributing it and a charge for criminal use of a computer.
