Prosecutors have formally charged a 19-year-old Woodall man who is accused of molesting two 9-year-old girls between 2013 and 2014.
Ty Mitchel Trammel is charged with two counts of felony lewd molestation.
He was arrested last month and later freed on a $75,000 bond, booking records show. A judge has ordered Trammel to have no contact with the alleged victims.
Trammel is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County District Court at 1 p.m. today for his initial appearance.
Prosecutors allege Trammel had both of the alleged victims engage in sexual acts on him “for the purpose of sexual gratification.”
Trammel became a suspect in the investigation after one of the alleged victims was overheard discussing sex with another student at a local school, deputies said.
School staff met with Cherokee County sheriff’s investigators, and the girl reportedly revealed “graphic” details of the alleged sexual encounters with Trammel and another adult male suspect.
Investigators said that girl’s story led them to interview a second girl of the same age.
When Trammel was confronted with the allegations, he confessed, according to Sheriff’s Investigator Kathy Young.
