An employee of the Kissimmee Boys and Girls Club was arrested Friday on charges of molesting an 11-year-old girl in his care, according to police.
Sylvester Johnson was picked up a day after the child’s mother reported her suspicions to supervisors at the club on Dyer Boulevard, who contacted the state Department of Children and Families, according to police.
Johnson, 62, of Kissimmee, Florida is charged with molesting the child after taking her into a closet to give her $1 for candy, a report stated.
“Sylvester has made comments to her in which he states that he wishes he was younger so that he and (she) can date,” Det. Georgie Torres wrote. “Additional juvenile females who attend the Boys and Girls Club have come forward stating Sylvester has touched them inappropriately as well.”
Those accusations are under investigation, the report stated.
Sylvester remains held without bail in the Osceola County Jail charged with lewd or lascivious battery on a minor.
