WANTED Accused Child Molester Lewis Quintin Martin of Washington County Oklahoma

Lewis Quintin Martin-Copan-Bartlesville- Oklahoma-Washington County

Two months after securing an arrest warrant, Washington County Oklahoma sheriff’s deputies are still looking for a man accused of molesting a child he knows.

Deputies have still made no arrest after getting a warrant on Feb. 10 for 49-year-old Lewis Quintin Martin, who faces two felony charges of lewd molestation and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

The charges came after a young girl told her teacher that Martin had molested her at a home in Copan, a town north of Bartlesville.

The affidavit states the young girl told an investigator that Martin touched her inappropriately “as recent as one week prior to the interview and estimated a total of 5 times over the past year.” According to the affidavit, the girl said “all the incidents occurred when her mother was away from home at work.”

The girl said Martin apparently showed her pornographic images on his cell phone, too. The affidavit states the girl “said she feels safe at school, and at home when ‘her mom is around.”

Sgt. Jon Copeland with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said he now needs the public’s help to catch this accused child molester.

Deputies say they believe Martin is still in the area, possibly being kept hidden by his family, who have been anything but helpful during the search. Copeland said any information that people can give his department could help the investigation. And, if that’s the case, I urge those protecting this monster to read this open letter to those who were protecting another molesterThey ARE Breaking The Law!

Washington County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Copeland, who is handling the case, has said Martin could be driving a 1997 tan Chevrolet extended-cab pickup and could be in Bartlesville, Copan or Hominy.

Anyone with information about Martin’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 918-338-4001 or Sgt. Jon Copeland directly at 918-338-4004.

They can also report any information to the local Crime Stoppers at 918-336-CLUE or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
