Kevin A. Haines, 32, of Anderson, Indiana faces child molest charges.
Haines was released from Madison County Jail on bail Wednesday. The charge was filed on Jan. 17, but the probable cause affidavit doesn’t specify a date for the incident that the allegations stem from.
According to the affidavit, a 6-year-old girl was playing with other children in a sand box at the girl’s foster home and started behaving oddly. The girl’s parents reported the incident, and the girl told Department of Child Services representatives that she had been molested by Haines.
In a police interview following the report, Haines denied allegations.
Haines is a convicted felon with an extensive criminal history. In 2012, he pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a legend drug, intimidation and domestic battery, and a separate incident of invasion of privacy. In 2009, he pleaded guilty to driving while suspended. He also had criminal convictions from two incidents in 2007.
