An Ozark County man who has been on the run from law enforcement since last summer is arrested at a residence in Theodosia.
Ernest Engels, 39, of Isabella was taken into custody Thursday and transported to Howell County, where he is wanted for child sexual abuse. Engles is charged with statutory sodomy, 2 counts of child molestation and 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges resulted from an investigation by the Missouri Department of Social Services into the abuse of an 8-year-old girl.
Ozark County Sheriff Darrin Reed says a tip from a concerned citizen led to the arrest. Engles is being held on 250-thousand dollars bond.
