A 46-year-old west suburban man was charged with criminal sexual assault for allegedly raping a maid at a Chicago hotel where he was staying as a guest.
Dennis Sluski, Jr., of St. Charles, was held on $750,000 bond. He was arrested Saturday after the victim identified him in a photo, according to arrest records.
The rape occurred Saturday in a room at a hotel where the victim worked as a maid and Sluski was staying as a guest, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Mary Hain.
Sluski had moved from one room to another room at the hotel, Hain said. While the victim was cleaning Sluski’s vacated room, she found belongings that had been left behind and brought them to Sluski’s new room, Hain said.;
When the victim knocked on the door, Sluski threw her on the bed and raped her, Hain said.
The victim slapped Sluski’s face and scratched his arm, Hain said. She was then bitten in the hand by Sluski’s dog, which was staying with him at the hotel, Hain said.
Arrest records indicate that the 43-year-old victim was treated for the dog bite and released from the hospital.
Sluski did not appear in court for his bond hearing Sunday because he was in the hospital. He has two warrants out of DuPage and Will counties on unrelated charges.
